The flight/train

You can book the flight or train yourself and have it reimbursed later. Please note that First, Business, or Premier class travel will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. You are required to provide proof of the cost of the flight/train, which can be found on the confirmation booking receipt/itinerary document. In Rome, there are two airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino. Both are well connected to the city center.

From Fiumicino airport to Roma Termini Train Station

The easiest way to reach Termini station from the Fiumicino airport is by train by the Leonardo Express. The train station is conveniently located inside the airport. Tickets can be purchased on-site and online at the Trenitalia website. The cost is €14, your luggage, including large-sized luggage, is not subject to a surcharge.

The Termini station can also be reached by bus with the Airport Bus Express service, in about 60 minutes. The cost is €7, you can find all the info here.

From Ciampino airport to Roma Termini Train Station

Some buses take you from the airport to Termini station in about 35 minutes. The cost is €6, you can find all the info here.

From Roma Termini Train Station to the Locanda di Piazza del Popolo

Take the metro A (the orange one) towards Battistini and exit at the Flaminio station (the fourth stop). Ticket costs €1,5 (B.I.T. ticket) and can be purchased from the ticket machines at the metro and bus stations and at tobacco and newspaper shops. Further info about Rome’s public transport can be found here. The Locanda di Piazza del Popolo is 300m away from the Flaminio metro station.
